Meet Scott: A Lifetime in Tech, A Passion for People

A Journey Through Technology and Transportation

Scott’s career is a testament to a lifelong passion for technology and problem-solving. His journey began in the 1970s as a high school student operating an IBM 360 mainframe. From there, he moved into customer support and training for inventory management and point-of-sale software. By the late 80s, he was implementing accounting systems—an experience that set the stage for his deep dive into the transportation industry.

In 1990, Scott joined TMW, where he spent over 30 years mastering roles in implementation, sales, and product management. His expertise shined in his work with Fuel Dispatch, where he became the go-to demo expert. With decades of experience, Scott has developed a reputation as a problem solver who brings people together—something he hopes to be known for long after his career.

The Man Behind the Role: Scott Unfiltered

Sure, Scott’s got an impressive career, but let’s be real—he’s way more than just a sales and tech guru. He’s a straight shooter, calls it like he sees it, and keeps his cool (most of the time). Just don’t test his patience by showing up late—because in Scott’s world, being on time isn’t just a courtesy, it’s a way of life. Oh, and did we mention? He’s a Cleveland Browns super fan—which means he knows a thing or two about loyalty, perseverance, and the occasional heartbreak.

Fun Facts About Scott:

Dream Job as a Kid: A musician! He rocked the drums from ages 4 to 14 and can still belt out a mean blues harmonica solo.

Superpower of Choice: Mind reading—although, on second thought, he’s not sure he’d like what he’d find.

Most Daring Feats: Racing offshore powerboats and tackling whitewater rapids in a canoe (spoiler: the canoe trip almost turned into a survival story).

Personal Motto: “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those that mind don’t matter, and those that matter don’t mind.”Whether he’s solving problems, rallying people together, or cheering on the Browns through thick and thin, Scott is always 100% himself—and that’s exactly what makes him stand out.

Life Lessons & A Theme Song (or Two)

If Scott could give his younger self advice, he’d say: Make time for fun. Money isn’t a requirement for good times, and the best people aren’t always the wealthiest. When it comes to a personal theme song, he’s torn between two classics—“Why Can’t We Be Friends” by War and “Raise a Little Hell” by Trooper—because, well, life is about balance.

What Matters Most

Above all, Scott is most proud of his son, who turned out great. In work and life, his mission remains the same: solve problems and bring people together. Whether he’s the lovable nerd sidekick or the life of the party, one thing is certain—Scott leaves a lasting impression wherever he goes.
